Looking to revamp your wardrobe? Do you enjoy standing out in a crowd? Or just having an original design? If any of these, or something completely different is the case, than I can possibly be of service to you. Here are a few of my wearable creations:
Single-Shoulder Short/Long Dress – this piece is still a work in progress. I need to complete some sort of sling or strap that will keep the dress attached to the body, while still preserving the nudity of the left side of the torso. This piece is comprised completely from t-shirts that harbor multitudes of memories but I could never possibly wear (nor wear out) during my lifetime.
Scrap Fabric Skirt – This skirt has scraps of fabric that I found throughout various transitional moments of my life and was the inspiration that to this work, which was my first memorial work. This skirt is lined with a soft and colorful cotton fabric that moves with me. I love skirts that sit on my hips and drag the floor. This one also is fun to play with and magical to be inside of. There are several a-symmetrical pockets, a side zipper and a V-waist that always gives me an hourglass shape.
Straight Skirt/Dress with a Fancy Flair – This skirt is from a very simple pattern. It has an elastic waist and the bulk of the fabric has a loud flower print that is somehow balanced with a thick strip of pink velour extending the length of this skirt.
Cinderella Dress with Scarf – This halter dress has an open-back. The torso is fitted, while the rest of the dress is comprised of large pieces of fabric. This patchwork dress is pleated and has a rigged zigzagged designed hem along the bottom.
Super Pants – These pants give in all the right places and take all that I have to throw at them. I’ve worn these pants for years to various types of dance rehearsals and their still going strong. This was my second design comprise of additional pieces of fabric that bring up nostalgic feelings.
Jean Skirt – This is simple enough. My butt barely fit into these jeans when I bought them and definitely didn’t at the time that I altered them. I do have a small waist and loved the way that these jeans fit my waist so I did what any creative seamstress would do… I turned this into a skirt. In the slits, I inserted the important sections from two different t-shirts.
Reversible T-Shirt Strapless Dress - Everyone is always making a memory into a t-shirt and I continue to take the t-shirt memories and create fashion designs that I will actually wear. Honestly, how many t-shirts can one person really wear between laundry days… (and I have a newborn who spits up on me and breasts that leak all day long)?
My rates are reasonable, you simply provide me with your measurements and your memories and I will turn this chapter of your life into something you can wear (as opposed to placing it in a pretty book or box and letting it collect dust. Contact me here, today!
